About Peggy Hinaekian
Peggy mainly creates abstract landscapes, describing her work as, "atmospheric and lyrical paintings in mixed media on canvas and paper." She rarely begins creating with a preconceived idea or vision, but instead allows for free flowing movement and "the possibility of ambiguity". Her ability to breathe movement into each piece leads the viewer into a unique perceptual experience of alternate reality. Her goal with each piece is to immerse the viewer in a careful balance of color, light and space.
She has traveled worldwide to the Sahara Desert, Mediterranean Sea and everywhere in between, which has greatly influenced her artistic career. These beautiful landscapes continue to inspire her work, with each piece evoking the colors and movement within nature.
Peggy's work is featured in numerous solo exhibitions, major international corporate collections, and permanent exhibitions at Lucky Street Gallery in Key West, FL; Kelly Roy Gallery in Miami, FL; Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery in La Jolla, CA; CCA galleries in London, England; and Artraction Gallery in Geneva, Switzerland, among others.
