Christiaan Karel Appel was a famous Dutch painter who exhibited around Europe and the world. He experimented with both painting and sculpture, ultimately focusing on abstract painting. His artistic periods include Tachisme, Expressionism, COBRA & Modern Art.
Appel is also known as a founder of the avant-garde movement in fashion and art.
